Inspired by the Filipino proverb �Ako ang nagtanim, nagbayo, at nagsaing nguni�t iba ang kumain�, loosely translated as �I planted, pounded and cooked the rice but somebody else ate it�, refers to getting credit or reaping the rewards for work that you did not do.

Thanks Wilfrido! What do you think happened? My version is that a suitor comes to visit twin sisters. The one that he really is interested in did the cooking and all the work but the other one took the credit! In the real sense it was the suitor who ate the rice but in essence it was the sister who actually ate it.
