Description
Translation: TIRED. Rice farming is hard and tedious work. You need to walk (backwards when planting) in mud under the scorching sun. One farmer takes a rest while 2 fellow comrades look after him. People forget what it takes to grow rice. We shouldn't waste it.

This is wonderful Paul,....as well as your other works
Paul Hilario replied:
Thanks Cristopher! I think the way I painted this is more natural to me, however, the dictates of the art market, require me to paint in another way as you can see. But I will never stop painting like this. :-)

wow, thanks Paul, is it because I don't comment hardly on anyone's work? It almost sounds sarcastic lol, when I know it's not. You're a great artist, you have it all great ideas, color, composition, and technique. Many don't have all 4 which I find the most important with technique being last. sorry to be so chatty
Paul Hilario replied:
I didn't even know you hardly comment Leah! I just admire your work so much. Thank you for the HUGE compliment but I think you have the qualities that you just mentioned that I have! The reason why I compared your comment to an art contest is that I can see, based on your works, that you would be a highly credible person to judge others work. I like chattty :-)
