I typically paint the ricefield and farmers in colorful and happy colors - a visual irony of the hard work that goes to planting rice. Its a job that starts from sunrise until sunset. Please see painting nuber 1 - "From Dusk"

I just love the colors and the brush strokes. As well as your observation of light and shadow. Makes me think of Van Gogh, even though the brush stroke style is very diffenent from his.

Thanks Vicki for your comment :-) Van Gogh was an early inspiration for me so I'm glad you felt that in this piece. Nowadays, I paint mostly expressionist visual narratives which you don't see these same strokes as the end product. I satisfy my impressionist itch time to time :-)
