Tularan ang Palay

Description
Inspired by the Filipino proverb Tularan ang palay - habang yumayabong lalong nagpupugay. This is translated as Be like rice - the more it flourishes the more it gives respect. Rice is a symbol of humility. As the ripe plant matures, the panicles, heavy with grain bend lower to the ground. Rice reminds us that as you improve your quality of life or become successful, you must always be humble.

very southern, very Philippine painting, bravo Paul!
Paul Hilario replied:
Thanks Alexander! If you notice it's not too Filipino. The farmer is wearing a tie and a coat. :-) This farmer is bowing to you in delight of your 'bravo!'
