Description
The best season to grow rice is during the dry season. The wet season provides various problems for farmers. When there is too much rain it drowns the rice and the plants do not get enough sunlight. In this painting the sun shines bright, with no hint of possible rain - a good time to harvest rice.

Thanks Craig for your lovely comment. You've helped me snag the right word to describe the faces. I didn't think of it that way first. I use a technique that blurs the shadows and makes for interplay of layered colors. :-) That is why the images become very soft and delicate as you have aptly described it.
