Description
..and then she told me the sad story of the endangered "Tayabak" or Jade Vine. The Jade Vine is native to the Philippines and its flowers are of a very unique brilliant blue-green color with flowers clustered up to 3 feet long. Much of its natural habitat has been destroyed and its natural pollinators have also decreased. It grows well near streams or water sources. Its very rare to see one in the wild. I havent even seen a real one. Saw my first one only on the internet. That is also why you will barely see it in this painting. If you know what you are looking for, youll find it.
This is a bookpiece.

Love this landscape and your color palette, Paul! I really appreciate your congratulation on my recent sold print "Boats in front of the Buildings IV", thank you!!
Paul Hilario replied:
Thanks Xueling and congratulations once more! I I don't do a lot of landscapes but this one was fun to create because of the size and its intended purpose. It will be featured in an environment awareness themed coffee table book.

Thanks for the comment on my painting "bottles & glasses". I can see that you like color too, and this one is a perfect example! I was at Clark AFB for a couple of days back in the 60's (guessing that was before you) and had the best pastrami sandwich I ever had. Keep up the good work. Larry Martin
Paul Hilario replied:
It must have been that astronomically delicious if you can remember the sandwich 51 years later! Clark AFB closed down in the 91 when Mt. Pinatubo erupted so I can't track down that sandwich anymore :-(. Read your bio - good stuff! Selling a USD 1800 painting, where I'm from, is for the pros already. Anyway, keep up the good work too :-)
